I thought relationships were not for me…
Years ago I decided I was never going to have a long-term relationship. Eight-week relationships, or the three-month wonder, those worked just fine.
I simply didn’t desire long term relationships, mostly because I didn’t see any good ones.
Then one day while talking with the founder of Access Consciousness® Gary Douglas, I realized that I was limiting my choices. By eliminating relationship altogether, I was living in a no-choice universe.
So I changed my perspective, it was so simple. That same day I met my partner Brendon Watt.
For us, relationship is a choice we make every single day. We’ve both had to look at what relationship is for us. And it’s not about growing old together or any of the other projections and expectations of this reality.
We also made a commitment to use the tools of Access Consciousness in relationship. Some of the tools can be confronting. There are times when I’ve thought, “I so don’t want to try that,” but I’m willing to use the tools because I know that they work.
Our relationship grows all the time; it changes all the time. We’re still playing and creating together.
If you look at anyone who has a great relationship, you’ll realize that they don’t do it by the book. There is no book!
You have to continuously function from asking questions, from the contribution you are to each other — and be creative with your relationship.
What if relationship is the greatest adventure you could have?
To me relationship is about two people coming together to create at least 20 times more than what they would alone.
If you’re not with someone who is allowing you to create more, what are you doing it for?
Simone Milasas and Brendon Watt have created an easy-paced online course for you, “Relationship — Are You Sure You Want One?” It’s refreshingly honest, funny and packed with tools that may make you uncomfortable at times, but will change your life if you use them.
